Caring for your cashmere
Hand-wash in luke-warm water using a small amount of wool wash, and then spin on high speed in the washing machine to remove excess water. Hang to dry on a line, or tumble dry on warm to cool temperature. Press lightly with a full steam iron.
The more you wash your cashmere the softer it becomes and the better it looks. Treat it like your hair, regular washes keep it in good condition.
Wash your cashmere before you put it away for summer – even if it “looks” clean. This will protect it from moth larvae that will munch on any dirt or food caught in the fibre. A couple of drops of moth repellent added to the rinse water will do the trick. A cake of soap in your woollies draw is also deterrent for moths. Purchase our moth repellent.
